It has an authentic hamon—created through a traditional process that combines hardness with flexibility for strength and durability. The blade is sharp enough to slice paper and strong enough to cut bamboo in one strike. The wood handle is wrapped in genuine ray skin and hineri-maki cord, while the tsuba, fuchi, and kashira display detailed carvings of dragon, kirin, and crane.
