Wow! Don't miss this piece! HUGE 11.85ct green Beryl!!!!
Get ready for a unique gemstone that doesn't come to market that often. Presented here, ladies and gentlemen, is an untreated green beryl weighing a whopping 11.85 carats! And it's crystal clear! But hey, isn't emerald a green beryl? Yes and no. Emeralds are green, and they are a type of beryl, but they get their color from different minerals, namely chromium and/or vanadium. And their development usually leaves small natural fissures and specific inclusions. But green beryl gets its color primarily from trace amounts iron, leaving them clearer (most of the time) and giving them a much more stable structure so they tend not to have fissures in their crystal content. And every once in a while they do tend to look like bright emeralds, just like this one. Now, we can't say this is a bright emerald, but we certainly wouldn't say anything if you did... This large collectors grade gemstone exhibits a bright green hue with preferred medium saturation and a vibrant color color palette that stands out in a crowd. It measures an impressive 19.7mm x 14mm x 7.4mm, and has a well polished glistening luster. It has great symmetry, and as you can see from the video, full translucency with striking internal characteristics that can be seen at just the right angles. Sourced from Brazil. Untreated!!!
