The malaya garnet gets its name from the word "malaia", which is Swahili for "out of family" due to its unique color and mineral attributes. This gem showcases an uncommon canary yellow hue with preferred medium saturation that lets its vivid yellow color really shine. Its oval cut shows glittering flashing accented by its sparkling luster, and the whole display is seen though premium VS clarity. This gem's unique color makes it perfect for gem and jewelry collectors and enthusiasts. This untreated garnet originated from Mozambique, and measures 7mm x 5.8mm x 4.3mm.
