Now this is something you don't see every day. This is a natural spring green tsavorite with a strong tone and vivid saturation. Only 10 percent of gem grade tsavorite mined in the world is above 1 carat, with only 2.5 percent being over 2 carats. And this one weighs 2.12 carats, putting it in the top 2 1/2 percent! It has a modified oval cut with a superbly polished luster that sparkles off of each facet and a fully translucent body. And measuring an impressive 8mm x 7.2mm x 4.5mm, this piece is large enough to stand out in any setting. But that's not all! Did you know that tsavorite garnets fluoresce? Because this one does! When held under UV lighting, its color turns into a gorgeous reddish orange. And we've even included a hand held UV light so that you can show your friends and family. Sourced from Tanzania.
