Locked between three of the most important gem countries in the world, (Zambia, Tanzania, and Mozambique) this area produces amazing rubies, often referred to as Nyala rubies, after the rare breed of antelope that live in the area. Although relatively unknown in the commercial market, these unique rubies have a strong collectors following due to their unique colors and high quality crystal content. This one displays a well blended mix of violet and red with pops of cherry red flashing. It measures 11mm x 5.7mm x 3.5mm with approximate SI clarity, and was HEATED ONLY!!!!
