Cut from Tanzanian Sapphire, this well detailed and jovial Buddha carving exhibits strong saturation with a classic blue hue. But what really makes this piece stand out is the naturally marbled matrix that runs through the sapphire crystal giving it a feeling of antiquity. Is it from an ancient Chinese collection? We couldn't say, but you are looking at the culmination of approximately 150 million years of growth, so it was definitely around during that time. This sapphire has incredible size measuring 46.3mm x 32.5mm x 29.2mm, and Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10 so your family can enjoy it in your collection for generations to come.
