Very special hand-colored lithograph on paper by John Gould. This work is from, 'A Monograph of the Trogonidae, or Family of Trogons', which was Gould study of the Trogon bird family. Gould was a renowned English ornithologist and artist known for his lavishly illustrated, hand-colored lithographic books of birds and animals. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Professionally framed and ready to hang. Artwork is obtained from various contracts or estates, and occasionally the frame may contain minor dents or scratches. Condition of frames is not guaranteed.
