This 5-inch dome displays a miniature model of the Golden Temple, or Sri Harmandir Sahib. It is detailed in 24 karat gold-plating and rests on a faceted green glass base. The original temple, located in Amritsar, Punjab, is the most sacred site in Sikhism. Its construction began in 1604 under the fifth Sikh Guru, Arjan, with symbolic architecture designed to welcome people of all backgrounds.
