This sphere is truly one of a kind! The black clorite matrix of this piece shows ample chalcopyrite, sometimes refered to as fools gold, which is actually a high grade copper ore, and its metallic shimmer shows beautifully against its silky black host stone. The gold ore has such a high polish that you can actually see yourself in its reflection! It has fantastic size, weighing well over two thousand carats with a 70.4mm waistline. This is an all natural example, and comes with a display stand.
