Ganesh is the lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the God of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth. The statue depicts Ganesh (also known as Ganhesa) sitting cross-legged holding his own broken tusk in his right hand. He uses the broken tusk as a writing instrument. The left hand holds sweets or modaka. The modaka is the reward for the seeker of truth as they journey on a spiritual path of enlightenment. His pot belly signifies the bounty of nature and also that Ganesha swallows the sorrows of the universe and protects the world. Condition: excellent material: bronze measurements: approximately 16 x 12 x 7 inches. Weight approximately 30 pounds.
