Splendid 1921 14K YG Waltham Pocket Watch

A century plus ago, rising after a war and recent pestilence, it was time to get the 1920s roaring! Offered for consideration is this marvelous 14k white gold timepiece by Waltham, c. 1921. It is in excellent running and aesthetic condition. The modest size 12s pendant-set movement of this clean machine is serial number 24093789, grade No. 225, model 1894, and spins on 17 jewels. Its octagonal gold case, by the Brooklyn Watch Case Co., is nicely embellished. Its rear is suitably engraved with a swallow motif, symbolizing good luck and positive change. The BWCCO crafted watch cases from 1865 through 1920, making this one of its last. The coordinated textured white gilt dial features raised yellow gilt Arabic markers, and its hands are contrasting blued steel. This watch weighs 69.5 grams.
