A Very Rare Buddha Statue/Amulet From  the Mon Kingdom In Northern Thailand. A beautiful STERLING SILVER amulet/statue. It is created by covering a hand carved statue with sheets of pure silver. The silver sheets are formed and gently hammered in place around the carved form.  A extremely rare relic obtained from a collapsed religious stupa in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Buddha Has A Serene And Peaceful Expression, Down Cast Eyes Closed Mouth With Full Lips, Tight Hair Curls, with Buddha holding his large, rotund, belly. This is a symbol of prosperity. Circa early 19th Century (early 1800's). Provenance: Obtained In 2009 From Collectors Estate In Chiang Rai, Thailand. Black and Dark Brown  Patina, Age Related Wear, slight surface structure corrosion. Measurements: 1.45 X .85 X .75 Inches, Weight: 16 grams. COA certificate Included with sale. This item had a retail price tag of $2500.00
