Lot Details
This is a real Japanese Katana sword and real care and attention should be observed with its handling. It has a very intricate dragon handle design likened to a fearsome Japanese dragon. The pewter-colored metal guard, or tsuba, serves as a barrier between the warrior's hand and the blade. The habaki, also of pewter alloy, secures the blade firmly in its place. Its very sharp blade is forged from 1045 high carbon steel and bears the marks of countless hours honing its edge to perfection. A deep blood groove runs along its length. It is encased in a black scabbard adorned with pewter accents matching the tsuba.
