This is the original 18k yellow gold and diamond Classic Fusion from Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot (MDM Geneve), c. 1990. This watch is in very good condition, with only the light wear shown. Its dial and crystal are pristine. The bezel glistens with 48 round diamonds with a total weight of .96 carats at our best estimate of two points each. The lugs and Hublot 18k butterfly clasp sport another 64 round accent diamonds. It features a modern markerless dial with a date window a three o’clock. Its sapphire crystal is scratch resistant, and it is water resistant to 5 atmospheres (50 meters). The band ID is currently 5 7/8 inches. The Fusion Classic is the world’s first gold luxury sports watch and features a watchmaking first, a natural rubber band that took three years to develop. Its resounding success cemented their legacy and is now commemorated with a revived edition since 2020 (now a part of LVMH). This watch was recently serviced to ensure reliability. It is in fine working order and weighs 49.0 grams.
