All brands of liquid soap can be filled in this automatic foaming soap dispenser, but we highly recommend using original liquid soap for best results. We do not suggest to use some thick liquid. There isn't really a strict ratio to use, but foam hand soap mix with water at the ratio of 1:2 is a good place to start and you can adjust from there based on your preference. If red indicator light does not flashes, please kindly check whether the batteries are installed correctly! And try to re-install new batteries several seconds later! (rechargeable version: please try to recharge the product.) to clean, wipe dispenser with a damp cloth, but do not submerge in water or use in a shower.
