It has an oval cut with fantastic shape, and a superior luster that shimmers off of each facet. Measuring 8mm x 7mm x 4.1mm, this sapphire has fantastic size, and a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10, making it a great piece for setting. Sourced from Ethiopia. This example was heat treated, evident by the presence of lead bearing glass.
