The rich violet hue of this ruby is tempered with a red undertone, and has a shimmering silver hexagon near its center displaying a window into its growth pattern flanked by watermelon seed inclusions. It is covered with a glistening superior luster, and has a semi opaque body with great size, measuring 10.5mm x 10.5mm x 5.7mm, and a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10. This exotic example was sourced from Winza, Tanzania. Untreated!
