This is a beautiful etching, after Rembrandt, by master engraver Amand Durand. Titled “The Raising of Lazarus: the larger plate” (year of original 1630).
Etching image size is 14.5″ x 10″. Paper with Border measures 22″ x 17.5″. On Somerset paper. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Ref. #73 according to the British Catalogue, circa 1797, is a hand pulled-ETCHING from the AUTHENTIC & Original copper Rembrandt plates by Armand-Durand (1831-1905) overseen by Art World Industries, inc.
This etching bears an Amand Durand embossed blind stamp chopmark.
This subject is in excellent condition, and has never been framed. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
