Beautiful Plums on a Wood Table

Garcia was born February 1955 in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Spain. At an early age he displayed an exceptional talent for drawing. Upon completing his primary studies, he attended the Fine Arts School in Cadiz, where he later graduated and held his first exhibition in 1982.

In his canvas, Garcia reflects his love for color. Simplicity is the recurring theme of his paintings, and his subjects are typically the objects found in the daily life of many Spaniards. With subtle color variations, he paints a still life of apples, pears, or perhaps a bouquet of fresh flowers. In these works he displays his great talent for portraying the various tones found in these objects, and the effects of natural sun light upon them.

The original art of Garcia has been presented in public exhibitions in Spain, and can be found in private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
