This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in galleries.  This painting is gallery wrapped and finished on the edges so it can be hung without a frame.   Lorenzo’s work combines color inspiration from the impressionists and stylistics of pop like David Hockney into each painting to create something interesting and design forward.   Artist Statement:  Since childhood, about 5-6 years old, I have always felt the strange need to draw and paint. Drawing shapes with one simple pencil and then filling them with colors attracted me like a magnet, like that magical music that you don't want to stop to listening to. At the beginning it was a mixture of different feelings, some good and others as a way of escape and to ward off my ills. I know now art is a kind of therapy too. With the passage of time I have been understanding, as mother nature was becoming the main protagonist of my work, that there is nothing better than transmitting the love I feel for this nature (reflected in my family and in music too) that helps me so much. That is why I think that my painting is an attempt to explain this love that I feel for them, which is no different than love for life, for all living beings. And I think I'm getting it through the game of simple shapes and vivid colors. What you see it isn´t a “real” nature, it´s what I call a “dreamed landscape”,  that is not an exact copy of a specific place or a photograph, but it is more the feeling that nature (walking its landscapes with my family at weekends or holidays, studying another painters´ artworks, seeing photos at magazines, or surfing by the net, etc) or music transmits me, that I represent in the canvas in a symbolic way.

In this painting, the model is the ballerina Natalia Gubanova from the Moscow Ballet.  In this piece, Torres mixes themes of dance and time together.  In this work, the dancer almost seems to break time, and each clock relates back to the artist's time creating the work similar to the ways a dancer puts in time to perfect their craft.  Antonio Torres is an artist from Alicante, Spain. Balletomane, defined as a ballet enthusiast, aptly describes Torres’ devotion to dance. Throughout his evolution as a painter, he has dedicated himself to one recurring theme: ballet. Dancers from all over the world showcase graceful poses and elegant costumes in each captivating painting. Fascinated with ballerinas’ patterns of movement and psychological dedication, Torres skillfully captures their mastery of performance by depicting their varied demeanors both on and off the stage. While Torres portrays notable dancers from all over the world, his work is categorized into three distinct series and each inspired by a different ballerina. The Contrasts series provide striking distinctions between light and shade frequently placed in intimate settings. Blue Dream paintings convey the beauty of ballet through various expressionistic techniques, while the Blue Rainbow series incorporates surrealism to depict dreamlike performances. Through this diversity, Torres captures the multifaceted aspects of ballet and its dedicated performers. Torres personalizes private moments, and this exclusive access to intimate views offstage are a hallmark of his work. Aware of the rare circumstances accessed to him via his friendships with numerous ballerinas, Torres graciously remarks, “I thank God for having the opportunity to be surrounded by so many talents behind the scenes.” Though visually divergent, Contrasts, Blue Dream, and Blue Rainbow unite in inviting viewers behind the scenes to share his intimate point of view.
