"Le Parc" (The Park) Vendure Villeroi Tapestry
This tapestry is inspired from a fine example of a classical Verdure Tapestry, such as those woven in France, Brussels and Flanders during the 18th Century. Many Verdure Tapestries were woven throughout the 16th to 18th Centuries, with designs based on plant forms, reflecting the interest in botanical themes during this period. These tapestries featured country scenes, often with birds, rivers and architecture.
This tapestry is French made, jacquard woven with relief stitch. Fully lined with rod pocket for hanging.
