Mother Virgin Mary Bronze Statue

The bronze sculpture captures the saintly Madonna and Child. There are several distinct types of representation of the Madonna but the full-length standing images of the Madonna including the infant Jesus are the most common. The earliest such images date from the early Christian Church and are found in the catacombs of Rome. The Mother of Perpetual Help stands gracefully baby Jesus in her left arm as her right arm is brought to her chest emanating a sense of compassion and blessing. The sculpture was molded using the archaic method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation and mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 23 X Width 8 inches.
