The color is both rich and vibrant, and it has substantial size for this gemtype measuring 8.3mm x 7mm x 5.3mm, AND is untreated! The color in hand is brighter than the photos. Only 10 percent of the tsavorite mined in the world is above 1 carat, with only 2.5 percent being over 2 carats. Made famous by Tiffany and Co., this very beautiful gem is held in high regard by collectors and connoisseurs and is very rare. Sourced from Tanzania.
