This is an exceptional bronze by Jean-Baptiste Auguste Clesinger it depicts Combat De Taureaux (A pair of sparring bulls). This classic dual shows the magnificent beasts going head to head. Clevinger had an amazing eye for detail in his art, Never leaving one part of his sculpture untouched which is why there is so much detail. You can see the rib cages as both bulls breathe heavily. This bronze sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method and has a dark brown patina. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 5 X Width 10 inches. Weight: 7 LBS.
