Hades (Pluto) was one of the three sons of Cronus and brother to Zeus and Poseidon. When the world was divided among them Hades was given the underworld. He is the King of the Underworld, ruling over the dead. Here he stands with Cerberus, his three-headed watchdog holding his two-pronged fork. The sculpture was crafted using the lost wax method.
