Rare! 1.60ct untreated SI1 grade canary yellow Malaya Garnet!
The malaya garnet gets its name from the word "malaia", which is Swahili for "out of family" due to its unique color and mineral attributes. This gem showcases an uncommon bright canary yellow hue with just a touch of green undertone that deepens its over all tone but lets the vivid yellow stand out. Its oval cut shows glittering flashing accented by its sparkling luster, and the whole display is seen though crisp SI clarity. This gem's unique color makes it perfect for gem and jewelry collectors and enthusiasts. This untreated garnet originated from Mozambique, and measures 7.5mm x 6.2mm x 5mm.
Gems come with a complimentary gem jar for display and protection, size permitting. All treatments are disclosed*, and all weights and sizes are approximate. Listed gemstones are greatly magnified, and minor details that present themselves in the photo may not be visible with the naked eye. There may be slight color differences due to individual monitor settings and capabilities. *Except for topaz. As irradiation is the standard treatment for this gem type, they should be assumed to be as such, unless stated otherwise in the description.
