It was then named for the region it was discovered in, Mali. This uncut, unpolished example displays nice gemmy qualities with the highly desired yellow to green color palette that these gems are famous for. And the size! Weighing a substantial 43.61 carats and measuring 20.2x19mm, you have plenty of material to work with. And it's untreated!
