Fine artistic semi antique Persian Malayer rug, size 4.6x7.0 ft, made of fine quality lambs wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a beautiful allover floral pattern on a red color background with very rare and nicely defined colors, contrasted beautifully with an intricate floral border. Hand woven in Malayer, Iran. Malayer rugs are excellent investments. Regional weavers generally produced smaller area rugs and runners although larger room sized rugs were created on commission.
