Multi-patterned! Smoldering color! 7.92 carats! Snow white Opal!
Some gems have to talk loud to be heard, but this gem speaks softly and commands the room. Presented here is a stunning example of pure Ethiopian opal. It has a frosty semi-translucent white body resembling a snowstorm held under glass, and trapped in this snowstorm is color. A lot of color. Floating through this gemstones smoky clarity is a full spectrum display that rolls across its surface like a rainbow thunderhead. You have fiery reds and pinks competing with electric greens, accented by oranges and yellows, and underneath it all, smoldering violets. There is so much going on under the surface, nature couldn't hold it to just one pattern, so it gave you a compliment of floral, block and chaff patterns. And the whole display is captured under a pearlescent luster. And since opals have less density than other gems, your 7.92 carats equals a whopping 17mm x 13.5mm x 7mm! That's a huge gemstone! And the best part? This attention grabbing opal is all natural with no treatments.
Gems come with a complimentary gem jar for display and protection, size permitting. All treatments are disclosed*, and all weights and sizes are approximate. Listed gemstones are greatly magnified, and minor details that present themselves in the photo may not be visible with the naked eye. There may be slight color differences due to individual monitor settings and capabilities. *Except for topaz. As irradiation is the standard treatment for this gem type, they should be assumed to be as such, unless stated otherwise in the description.
