Andre Sauret Editions du Livre – Montecarlo 1951. Text by Claude Roger-Marx. Limited edition in 3000 numbered copies (#1511), by Andre Sauret and Fernand Mourlot, printed in Gran Velin Renage. From a note printed at the head of volume: "The cover is an original and unpublished composition of Renoir that the artist had created for the cover of a book on his work. frontispiece is a portrait of Auguste Renoir by himself, an oil painting (36x47) executed in 1910. We were able to reproduce it thanks to the kindness of Pierre Renoir." 32 reproduction of Renoir's lithographs printed in full page.
