New old stock! 19.92ct real Australian white Opal!!!

Originally purchased in the late 80's by a private collector, this vintage opal was locked away in a safe for over 35 years waiting to be set. The play of color in this piece is actually layered, and looks like the cosmos when seen through infrared light. All of the colors present together, but when you hold it close to the light, you can see its unique suspended flashing, with the different layers becoming visible. Like with any opal, the color of tis piece is dictated by the color of the light its reflecting. With warmer lighting producing more pinks and yellows, and cooler lighting producing more greens and blues. In the second picture you can see an interwoven violet color palette, and the last photo you can see partially what it looks like in full warm light. The camera has a hard time capturing the true essence of its color. Now, lets talk about the size. This substantial collectors opal measures a staggering 25.8mm x 18.9mm x 5.5mm, making it perfect for pendant setting, with a slightly curved dome that was polished to liquid perfection before it was stored, and has not lost any of its shine. A true testament to the quality of this material.
