Premium grade 1.45ct heavy rainbow flashing Sphene

The sphene is one of the only gemstones that exhibit true diamond fire, and the way they bend light creates a multicolor effect in the flashing of higher end examples. This is one of those examples. The round cut of this piece creates a glittering flash palette that is filled with not only orange and gold colors that echo this gems color shifting orange and golden hue, but also an abundance of red, green, and yellow flashing as well. It looks like Christmas. You should think of the pictures as an indication of shape, and not of the full scale of this gems color, as the camera will always fall short when trying to capture a gem like this. Examples in this grade can easily cost up to $500 a carat. Measuring 7mm x 7mm x 3.8mm, this example has fantastic size, and is UNTREATED! Sourced from Madagascar.
