Antique CAMBODIAN STATUE 18th Century w/ COA
A stunning Antique from the 18th century ( circa 1700's) Originally, this small statue was recovered from a collapsed Stupa in Chiang Mai, Thailand. (A stupa is a Buddhist architectural structure that is place of meditation and a repository for relics and artifacts). A stupa can have a repository of small statues, amulets and talismans. This particular artifact is a Cambodian Buddha in his royal vestments meditating on spiritual enlightenment. The statue has remains of the original lacquer and gold gilding. Made of a bronze alloy and a hard clay core. Measurements 5" x 4" x 2" COA (Certificate of Authenticity) included with the sale. A great addition to your South East Asia antique collection.
