Beautiful genuine 18th century buddha statue. The statue depicts a Thai buddha as he sits in the classic meditation pose on an austere throne.

The statue is from the Thai Sukhothai period and has elements of the earlier lanna period of Thai Buddhist history. Statue has age related wear and crazing. Dark brown patina with green undertone. Origin: Thailand, material: bronze, dimensions: approx. 4.25 tall x 3 wide x 1.5 deep inches, weight: approx. 6 ounces. Circa late 18th century/ early 19th century. Certificate of authenticity included with purchase.

This item was acquired from a high end luxury retail store with an expected confirmation price of $3,500.00.
