“Cutting errors occur after the currency stock correctly accepts the first, second, and third printings. The miscut arises during the terminal stages of production when the sixteen subject half-sheets are separated into two subject blocks and then cut into individual notes.
$1 1969 FRN Star or replacement note. When there is an error on a note the note gets pulled and replaced with a star. Seems like they may of created the same mistake on the replacement note.
