Size 5.4 x 8.3 feet, made of fine quality lamb’s wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a highly detailed floral pattern on a rich ivory background; large dark centerpiece medallion; crowned corners and finished off beautifully with an intricate floral border. Hand woven in Lillian, Iran. About the history of Lillian: it’s a village located south of Sultanabad, began in the 17th century, when a large group of Armenians settled here. Lilian rugs, therefore, are made by the descendants of these Armenian refugees. These rugs are very rare and hand woven by local masters.
