This is a beautiful etching, after Rembrandt, by master engraver Amand Durand. Titled “Jan Asselyn, Painter” (year of original 1647). Etching image size is 8″ x 7″. Paper with Border measures 16″ x 13″. On Somerset paper. This etching is embossed with the Amand Durand stamp. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Reference #277 according to the British Catalogue, circa 1797, is a hand pulled-ETCHING from the AUTHENTIC & Original copper Rembrandt plates by Armand-Durand (1831-1905) overseen by Art World Industries, inc. This piece is in excellent condition, and has never been framed.
