During his early years, Morgan (Sun-Ki Back) was an artist living and painting in the countryside of Kyung-Ki, Seoul. Although he was raised in an urban area, he became deeply interested in life in the rural regions of his homeland. He enjoyed visiting his grandfather who lived in a rural area and sketched the landscapes around during his time there. His grandfather invited young Morgan to his home frequently to help him discover his artistic sensibilities and let him paint all sorts of objects around his home. This is how Morgan began painting professionally.
His early style combined his passion for landscapes and seascapes with a formal sense of accuracy. Morgan has now changed his formal style into an impressionistic style. His paintings consist of impressionistic European street scenes, Venice, and other various landscapes.
