This is a beautiful etching, after Rembrandt, by master engraver Amand Durand. Titled “Christ Presented to the People: the Oblong Plate” (year of original 1655). Measurements: image size is 16″ x 18″. With border measures 22″ x 25″. On Somerset paper. Reference #76 according to the British Catalogue, circa 1797, is a hand pulled-ETCHING from the AUTHENTIC & Original copper Rembrandt plates by Armand-Durand (1831-1905) overseen by Art World Industries, inc. This etching bears an Amand Durand embossed blind stamp chopmark. This subject is in excellent condition, and has never been framed. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
