This large fossil was professionally cut and exhibits a beautiful fibonacci sequence with well defined chambers filled with druzy crystals. The outer shell displays touches of ammolite opal, and you can observe the crisp flaired maple leaf patterned sutures peaking out from behind the opal development. This piece has amazing size, measuring approximately 98.2mm x 79.5mm x 24mm (when together) and weighs well over 4 pounds. This piece originated in the Cretaceous era, and is approximately 100 million years old. Sourced from Madagascar.
