This substantial ammonite fossil was sourced from Madagascar, and was carved in the middle, showcasing interior characteristics that are usually not seen in most examples. It also displays a maple leaf pattern, and amolite opal on its uncarved side. This incredible piece originated in the Cretaceous era, and is approximately 100 million years old. It measures an impressive 133mm x 108.1mm x 34.7mm and weighs just over a pound.
