Botero Roman Soldier Bronze Sculpture Marble Base

This is Roman Warrior handcrafted bronze sculpture, stands proudly where he always has, on top of the Cafesjian Museum of Arts in Yerevan, Armenia. This is a vision of Rome I have never seen before: a chubby one. The small shield (much smaller than a Roman soldier would have used) and what I can only guess is a baby pilum without a spearhead, makes the warrior look even more comically massive. All of Fernando Botero`s work is of a similar style, which some refer to as Boterismo. This reproduction handmade 100% bronze sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a marble base. Condition: This sculpture is in a perfect condition.
