Peaceful Poppie Landscape by Jorge Carbonell

Item has only been displayed in a gallery setting and is in excellent condition. Original oil painting by renowned Spanish artist Jorge Carbonell. Titled View of the Poppies, this painting comes with a custom gold frame and measures 20 x 24 inches unframed. Framed dimensions are approximately 29 x 33 inches. Jorge Carbonell was born in Alcoy (Alicante), Spain on August 19th 1950, and was born into a family without a traditional artistic background. Despite this fact, when he was just a child, his teachers singled out his abilities to draw. As he got older, his interest in art became greater, given the large number of artists that were living in his hometown and the relationship that Jorge had with many of them. He has traveled from the north to the south of Spain, due to his eagerness to discover new landscapes for his compositions. One would always find in Jorge?s luggage his camera. Among his favorite places, the Costa del Sol (Marbella, M?laga, Torremolinos), the Cantabrian Coast (Santander, San Sebasti?n, Picos de Europa- a Spanish National Park). Arag?n (Monasterio de Piedra) stand out, but his favorite place is Cudilleros (a beautiful town situated on the Asturian coast). Jorge is great lover of nature, and he likes that its spontaneity is captured in his paintings; however, he confesses that they are impossible to match nature?s true beauty.
