Strikingly beautiful earth toned silk and Kork 70-Raj Persian Tabriz rug. Size 11.1x16.3 feet, made of soft and finest baby lamb's wool (Kork) and pure silk pile on silk foundation, all natural vegetable dye, a nice and earth toned color palette was used in creating this magnificent rug. Beautifully incorporating the extremely popular Shah Abbas floral pattern with a nice multi tiered dual headed teardrop centerpiece medallion, finely done crowned corners and intricate floral trim. A truly captivating rug that would look great as the centerpiece in any room. Very tightly knotted 70-Raj (approx. 800-1000 knots per square inch) and hand woven and signed by the master Persian carpet weaver in Tabriz, Iran. The approximate year of origin: 2000-2010
