Beautiful gilt bronze nude with long flowing hair, she is chained to the rock as a sacrifice to the sea monster. Perseus returning from the slaying of a giant serpent wearing Mercury sandals and helmet was flying home and saw her chained to the rock. He flew down, freed her, slew the sea monster, and married Andromeda. One of the few mythological stories that have a good ending. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 12 X Width 7 inches.
