This vase is an interesting piece as it has served a multipurpose. It is a vase but has a bas relief of nude women on the sides as well as climbing vines. One Woman holds on to the top of the vase and wears and is relaxed as the vines climb over her and cover her. Her hair is fanned out and falls all around her. She is nude and her body is thick. On the other side a woman who looks grief-stricken cups her breasts and points upwards. The texturized style of the vase gives this vase a rustic feel. This sculpture has great detail and portrays a simple beauty. This sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method and has a two-tone brown patina. Bronze Dimensions: Height 12 X Width 6 inches.
