Enchanting Very Rare Mid-20th C. Authentic Handmade Vintage Persian Angelas Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, hand spun, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. Angelas is a little known village and it produces some of the most darling village made pieces in the rug industry. However, for that matter, its production is very limited. Angelas is located in the western part of Iran in the Nahavand Region. These rugs usually feature a lovely central medallion in the center with stylized fish design in the background. Also, a distinct character of Angelas rugs is their captivating sheen, due to the fine shiny baby lamb's wool used. Creases in this rug are due to fold and not a defect.
