This gem has the trademark tanzanite superior luster giving it a glistening liquid appearance over its smooth cut cabochon shape. It displays rich even color saturation with a strong blue violet hue and semi-translucent body that diffuses the light, creating a glowing effect. Although heating is a perfectly acceptable industry standard and performed on most tanzanite, this example is untreated. It measures an impressive 18.4mm x 10.6mm x 7.2mm, and was sourced from Tanzania.
