This color, however, is greatly effected by its background, showing the deeper and richer crimson red on white and lighter backgrounds, and shifting into a plum red on black and darker backgrounds. The modified oval cut is wide faceted with a high polished luster creating a sparkling effect across its surface, and it measures 7.5mm x 7mm x 4.3mm.
