There was a shortage of copper during the war as it was in high demand and had been in high demand with wartime preparations. There were copper and scrap metal drives to get it. Frequently seen in WW11 displays along with ration books and steel cents. Over $ 2 in silver in each coin. Not checked for any varieties or lamination. Stock photo
